Welcome to Les Hôtes de Boissière.

We’re Ben and Kirsty.

Six years ago, we built our contemporary two-storey house here in the beautiful Gardois village of Verfeuil. It’s surrounded by forest and overlooks the stunning Cèze valley.

We love our rural idyll here in the South of France. And we want you to love it too.

Our vision was to create a luxurious yet supremely comfortable and private self-contained gite. Within our home. To share with our guests.

THE ACCOMODATION

The guest residence measuring 168 square meters forms the lower half of the house. A pergola runs its entire length assuring shade and privacy from the upper part. It also has its own private entrance.

“You have the whole gite to yourself. It is very well separated and visually isolated from the owner-occupied part of the house.”

INSIDE THE GITE

There are three suites (two doubles 160 x 190 cm and one with twin beds, each 90 x 190 cm). Each has direct access through French doors to the 12 metre pool and the large wooden deck that surrounds it. The accommodation is secluded and includes everything you need to have a memorable stay.

The interiors are finished to the highest quality. Each spacious bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, boasts crisp cotton sheets and designer bed linen. The spacious, welcoming sitting room has a sofa bed for parties of more than six, while there a wood-burning stove for the off-season. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possible need, and there’s a pantry and utility room with a washing machine.

GARDEN

A major attraction of Les Hôtes de Boissière is the beautiful garden. In the summer, a kaleidoscope of butterflies flit between the lavender and the roses. You can enjoy watching them from the comfort of the outside covered lounge area, next to the pool. There’s a pull-down screen and projector here too for movie night (popcorn provided of course).

SWIMMING POOL & LOUNGE AREA

The pool is 12 m x 5 m. It is checked and cleaned regularly. It is open for your private use from 9 am (before that time, any cleaning will be also done).

If you are a morning person and wish to swim in the early morning, that will not be a problem. Just let us know and we will adjust the cleaning schedule.

There is a lounge area where you can relax in the evening with a drink and snacks. The roof of the lounge is waterproof so, even if it rains, you can sit outside.

From the lounge area, there are steps leading down to the table tennis table and the rose garden.

There is decking from the house to the pool for your comfort.

We have a video projector and screen, so a cinema evening can be organised. We have Netflix, but you can bring your own films too.

ACTIVITIES

We’re both keen to help you appreciate the best that this region has to offer in terms of local food and wine. We can organise dinners and tastings of regional wines.

“Kirsten is an excellent cook and Ben will gladly share his knowledge of the local wines with you.”

If you just want to relax by the pool, there are sun loungers, a separate poolside lounge ideal for drinks in the evening, a BBQ, table tennis table, even a petanque court nearby (boules provided).

Those of you feeling a bit more energetic can discover the wonderful walking trails through vines and forest or go further afield cycling through the very pretty landscape.

ANIMAL POLICY

We have three very affectionate black cats that live upstairs but you will see around the place. For this reason, we are sorry that we cannot accept any animals during your stay.
